Whenever I try to change my MAC address using TMAC or doing manually, my internet does not connect?
Whenever I try to change my MAC address using TMAC or by hand, my internet does not connect. What should I do to solve this problem? I have a desktop HP Pavilion. It's 1 year Uses Network and Sharing Center to manage the Internet I use the Internet with Comcast cable, a Motorola cable modem. I have vista whatever I do the Internet does not connect after I change the MAC address. I can not find other threads on forums on yahoo answers. Someone could help me please?
You must unplug the power cable from the modem for about 15 minutes for it "forgets" the old MAC address. Completely stop the computer (or unplug the power cable from the router) and the modem for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes have elapsed, plug the modem and let it sync up to the ISP network. Next turn on your computer (or connect the power cable from the router) and you should now have a new IP address.
